Background[]

The island, Puerto Rico was devastated in September 2017 by hurricane Maria, leaving the entire island without power and in shortage of food and medicine. Miranda’s family is from the island and has been working since the hurricane struck to help out the people in Puerto Rico. The song mentions all the towns in Puerto Rico.

On October 1, 2017, Miranda post a video on Twitter of Camila recording the song.[1]

Chart performance[]

The song debuted at number 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number one on the Billboard Digital Songs Sales chart, selling 111,000 downloads and achieving 5.2 million streams in its first week of availability in the US.[2]
